Welcome to On Grain Studio. By accessing or using our website (ongrainstudio.com), booking an appointment, placing an order, or engaging our bespoke services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our services.
About Our Services
On Grain Studio is a boutique womenswear atelier based in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. We provide:
- Bespoke, made-to-measure garment design and creation
- Personal styling consultations (in-store and virtual)
- Custom fabric sourcing and design collaboration
- Delivery of finished garments within India
All garments are custom-made to individual client specifications and measurements.
Appointments and Consultations
- Appointments can be booked through our website, WhatsApp, or by phone.
- We request at least 24 hours' notice for cancellation or rescheduling of appointments.
- Virtual consultations are available for clients who cannot visit our Kolkata studio in person.
- Consultations are complimentary and do not obligate you to place an order.
Orders and Payment
Placing an Order
- Orders are confirmed once design details, measurements, and payment terms are agreed upon between you and our team.
- A confirmation will be shared via email or WhatsApp with a summary of your order details.
Pricing
- All prices are quoted in Indian Rupees (INR) and are inclusive of applicable GST unless stated otherwise.
- Prices are determined based on design complexity, fabric selection, and embellishment requirements.
- Final pricing is confirmed before production begins.
Payment Terms
- A non-refundable advance payment (typically 50% of the total order value) is required to begin production.
- The remaining balance is due before or at the time of delivery.
- Payment may be made via bank transfer (UPI, NEFT, IMPS), or other methods communicated at the time of order.
Production and Delivery
- Custom garments typically require 2–4 weeks for production, depending on design complexity.
- We will communicate estimated timelines at the time of order confirmation.
- Fittings may be scheduled during the production process (in-store or via video call for remote clients).
- While we make every effort to meet estimated delivery dates, slight delays may occur due to the handcrafted nature of our work. We will keep you informed of any changes.
Intellectual Property
- All designs, photographs, text, graphics, logos, and other content on this website are the intellectual property of On Grain Studio unless otherwise stated.
- You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or use our content for commercial purposes without written permission.
- Custom designs created for you remain our intellectual property in terms of the design concept. You own the physical garment produced for you.
Client Responsibilities
To ensure the best outcome for your bespoke garment, we ask that you:
- Provide accurate measurements (or attend a fitting session)
- Communicate design preferences clearly during the consultation process
- Respond to communications regarding fittings and approvals in a timely manner
- Inform us of any changes to your requirements as early as possible (changes after production has begun may affect pricing and timelines)
Limitation of Liability
- On Grain Studio shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our website or services.
- Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the specific order in question.
- We are not responsible for colour variations between fabric swatches viewed on screen and the actual fabric, though we make every effort to represent colours accurately.
Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Kolkata, West Bengal, India.
Modifications to Terms
We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of our services after any modifications constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
